≈ Comments Off on love is a sad lament i must sing to the clouds
“Not knowing that I am pillowed among the crags on Kamo Mountain, my wife must still be waiting for my return. ‘Today, today!’ each day I have waited for you and now they say you are strewn with the shells of Ishi River! Love is a sad lament I must sing to the clouds as they pass Ishi River.”
— from Manyoshu’s Collection of Ten thousand Leaves (Japanese Anthology compiled in 759 AD) and the OVA Blue Sub #6 (2000 AD)

Do not love me as if I were a flower
I want to live a worthy life —
as if I were an atom in a mass of troubles
as a child of street mobs!

≈ Comments Off on i want to sing only for you
Someday I will find a friend to help me re-learn all the Armenian I knew while in Peace Corps. Now I feel frustrated, I’ve forgotten so much. But I know one day I’ll sing again, sing beautifully.
.
I am a beggar.
I want to see you.
But I can not sing.
Please teach me to sing.
I want to sing only for you.

Իմ լեզուն ներսում ձեր շուրթերը.
Ես խմել ձեր երանության.
Ձեր ձեռքը իմ գլխին.
.
My tongue inside your lips.
I drink your bliss.
Your hand on my head.

The BBC just released this:
A judge in Chile has ordered the exhumation of the remains of the poet Pablo Neruda, as part of an inquest into his death in 1973.
The left-wing Nobel Prize winner died 12 days after a military coup replaced the socialist president Salvador Allende with General Augusto Pinochet.
The poet’s family has always maintained that he died in a Santiago clinic of advanced prostate cancer, aged 69.
Chile started investigating allegations that he may have been poisoned in 2011.
The date of the exhumation has not been fixed yet.
