despite, erotic poem, lust sublime, my Orpheus, praise this sleaze, sonnet, vulgarity

Gorged on hope you forget your place. Desire
won’t save you. If you’re the stuff of dreams then

you’re a safe flame for those afraid of fire
… a vague vulgarity. Who’d ever sin

on your behalf? There is no Orpheus
for you to sing you out of hell. Your place

is to warn others that all the lewdness
in the world feels most often like disgrace

and woe. Smut won’t save you. All this is true,
but I still give thanks for smut. I praise those

who’ve praised me with their libidos; who’ve taught
me lust sublime and passion’s true virtue …

I love that, despite all my griefs and woes,
despite feeling so broken and distraught.

Armenian translation, circe's mercy, heavy green honey, praise this sleaze, schooled gore, sibylline's rant, witch's itches, yes ch'em yes

Circe’s mercy — Witch’s itches — Schooled gore

I have not been myself of late. Coarse brute

force. Love-smudge. I want your sludge. I want more

of you — I am root’s charm. I am charm’s root.

Charm of carnage. Charm of harm. Kissing grim

under the tongue. That heavy green honey,

like from Delphi. I am not I. “Yes ch’em

yes.” No amber witness, royal jelly,

stone’s groan. Just plump rump. Itch that made Circe

moan, my mother of all craft. Does my sleaze

please? I am the other; all that you shan’t

have, but want. Toxic nectar, all dusky.

All for you. With luck we will fuck. We’ll squeeze

pleasure dry. Poison’s fun. Sibylline’s rant.

][][

Note:

“Ես չեմ ես” (Yes ch’em yes) is simply, “I am not I.” I am fascinated with the phrase in Spanish, “Yo no soy yo.” However, Armenian is the language spoken by Lot’s daughters in lust so I use that here.

both lust and doubt

doubt, erotic poem, lust, pleasure is your birthright, praise this sleaze, smut is art, sonnet, the furies, wireless vibrator

Fuck-meat. Messy, this sort of love. Others

get to live out their kinks and queer cravings.

What do you get other than a loner’s

hoodie and wireless vibrator purring

between your cheeks? Why do others love sleaze

so much when it scares you? Unseen, you slink

around your prim bedroom. “If the Furies

didn’t need sleaze neither do I,” you think.

But did they? To be pounded, split, to own

both lust and doubt. You have sighs and quivers

that you want to share. If that isn’t your

birthright what is? The truth is in your moan.

You want to love depraved sons and daughters,

be their fuck-meat. Fuck the chaste. Fuck the pure.

Beltane, erotic poetry, praise this sleaze, rump, rush and gush, slick with sweat, sodomy, sonnet, vulgarity

— on  Beltane (May 1st)

Summer heat in the forest. Green rage, haze.

Too hot. Too sluggish. The wind-bells don’t stir.

The birds don’t stir. Too sultry for dull praise

and dull ritual — Only the lover

and the witch stir; all who pray erect, wet

to touch, open to air — Only lovers

whose skin sheens, whose kisses come slick with sweat,

who cum as gushings, downpours, flood waters.

A touch of sodomy between the trees.

A touch of vulgarity; satyrs blush

when they see us together. Praise this sleaze

and all that it has wrought. Praise rush and gush,

the tongue in your mouth, the flesh of your rump

in this haze; all that is muscled, round, plump.
