bait, conversations with imaginary sisters, dullards, gods who love us, no flow crew, poem, poet is priest is pervert, Poetry, sonnet, sucka mc, think mayhem, tribes of scribes

You got us, trolls. We’re the unhappy few

with sub-par brains. We got no savvy. Our

tribes of scribes? Dim-witted. Our no flow crew?

Sucka MCs. Our erotic lives? Sour

grapes. All that you accuse us of is true.

This is the safe way out. “Poet is Priest,”

Ginsberg cried. But trolls got no god. They spew

hate. They laugh when we take the bait. “Artiste,”

they sneer. “Poseur.” All that grief, misery

and fear that drives us means nothing to them.

Ire we’re seen, dead we’re raised, gods who return

for our love: all proof of our lunacy.

We’re fools, drunkards, dullards who think mayhem

is art, who think it means something to burn.

You get sloppy. Your thoughts muddled, jumping
from hint to hint. How many evil schemes

have you half-hatched? One more undertaking
undone. Friends try to joke but something seems

infernally wrong. You’d bet your scrumptious
cloven hooves that lockdown out in Hades

is like this: promise of having promise
squandered. Even this poem does not please;

started weeks ago it sits on the page –
sneering – go on, make one more droll blow job

joke. You think you’re a horny devil but
you’re more Sucka MC. Your old-school rage

doesn’t age all that well. You’re quaint. Both slob
and snob. Say it. Sacred smut. Arse biscuit.

blowjobs to stangers

Strange. There’s a small army of us who give
blowjobs to strangers. Like Sucka MCs

or a ten year old with a homemade shiv,
you can’t tell just by looking as we breeze

by you on the street, in your office, out
on the playground. All our worlds are complex,

and so are we. Maybe on a stakeout
at a gloryhole, bathrooms and blind sex,

then you’ll tell—-when you hit a contralto,
like in movies—-each time you orgasm.

A tad crude, but to the point. Then you’ll tell
who is who. All us boys and girls who know

your taste and laugh at you because you cum
and call yourself an erotic rebel.
