The sister-brother duo of little Haiku and big, clumsy JR, plus my elderly lady, Ma Cat, who will try to make a nest out of anything she can find. It’s good to have family.
This is just so cute ! All the verbosity ends here. These are just the loveliest creatures of all ! I am especially attracted to the one with the hint of a moustache, by the looks of it, he seems a male. Is he ? And he/she resembles so closely to a female stray I adopted ! She is the most shy thing I have ever come across ! This mad eme miss my guy, Ace so much more.
Keep posting more about your life. I am very interested 🙂
Regards,
Yes, the big black and white cat is a male named JR. Before I moved to the city I live in right now I woke up one winter day and found that a very pregnant cat (which is why I call her Ma Cat) had just given birth to six kittens in my garage. I found good homes for almost all of them, but I wasn’t feeling clever with giving them names so I decided just to use names of famous jazz and blues musicians. So there was a Billie, named after Billie Holiday, and a Miles for Miles Davis. I gave all the cool names out and then I got to JR and couldn’t think of anything so I called him Jelly Roll, after an old piano musician named Jelly Roll Morton. But he is the least jelly roll cat (I’m not sure what jelly rolls do besides sitting on a plate waiting to be eaten) but it didn’t fit his personality. By the time I discovered that I had been calling him JR long enough that it seemed to stick. So he’s my jelly roll of love.
I am so sorry to hear about your poor cat. I know our animal companions are blessings and they have much shorter lives than us, but it still breaks my heart each time something bad happens. I think that no matter how short or long they spend with us if we love them then they’ll have a much better life than living outside by their own =)
